Thompson Harris

Bio
Thompson Harris lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He received his BFA from Cooper Union and his MFA from Rutgers Mason Gross School of the Arts. Harris's recent group shows include "sun stains / future spore breeders" at Striphanger (Brooklyn, NY) and "Last Supper" at the Woodpile (Brooklyn, NY). He has taught art and design for 7 years, most recently as a lecturer at Moore College in Philadelphia. Harris is also the co-founder of SEMINAR, a monthly artist-led discussion group started in 2013 focused on philosophical and aesthetic texts. His recent lecture Slimy Fictions occurred this past November at 321 Gallery. His first solo exhibition will open this Spring at Matinee Projects in New York, and his forthcoming book "The Skate" was released at 321 Gallery in February.
