Kevin McNamee-Tweed

Bio
Kevin McNamee-Tweed is an artist and curator originally from North Carolina, based in Iowa City, Iowa. He received a BFA from New York University in 2008 and will receive an MA and MFA from the University of Iowa in 2019. McNamee-Tweed's work has been exhibited around the United States, ranging from installations and visual art to handmade books and widely distributed publications. He is the recipient of numerous awards and residencies including the 2016 Montello Foundation Fellowship, the 2017 Bay Space Artist in Residence, and the 2017 Iowa Arts Fellowship. Recent projects include solo exhibitions at The Still House Group (New York, NY) and The Menil Collection (Houston, TX). In addition to a studio practice and independent curatorial projects, McNamee-Tweed worked as Curator at Big Medium in Austin, Texas from 2012 to 2017.
