Bio
Hiejin Yoo received an MFA from University California Los Angeles in 2018, a BA from Seoul Women’s University, and a Post Baccalaureate / BFA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Yoo will have solo shows at Half Gallery (New York, NY) and Fredric Snitzer Gallery (Miami, FL) in 2018 and had a solo exhibition at Kopeikin Gallery (Los Angeles, CA) in 2016 Her work has been included in group shows at Paul Kasmin Gallery (New York, NY), NewRelease (New York, NY), ltd Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA), JOAN (Los Angeles, CA), the Rema Hort Mann Foundation (Nicodim Gallery, Los Angeles, CA), FreshstART, Benefit Heart of LA (Los Angeles, CA), and Make Room LA (Los Angeles, CA). Other recent exhibitions include Cerritos College Art gallery (Cerritos, California), Center for the Arts (Eagle Rock, California), Millard Sheets Art Center (Pomona, California), and Saatchi Art (Santa Monica, California). Her paintings have been written about in Los Angeles Magazine, Los Angeles Times, It’s nice that, and Jimon Magazine, among others. Yoo lives and works in Los Angeles, CA.
