Bio
Elisa Lendvay lives and works in Poughkeepsie, New York. Recent solo exhibitions have been at Sargent’s Daughters, New York, NY; Jason McCoy Gallery, NY; Fred Giampietro Gallery, New Haven, CT. Her work was recently on view at Ratio 3 Gallery, San Francisco and The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art, New Paltz, NY. She has exhibited at Klaus von Nichtssagend, New York, NY; Asya Geisberg Gallery, New York, NY; Sardine Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, Underdonk, Brooklyn, NY; Orgy Park, Brooklyn, NY; LABspace, Hillsdale, NY, and other venues nationally and internationally. Her work has been included in Art Forum (Critic’s picks), The NY Times Style Mag, Time Out NY, Two Coats of Paint, and the Huffington Post. Lendvay has been awarded honors from the Edward F. Albee Foundation, the New York Foundation of the Arts, the Mabel Residency at the Norman Bird Sanctuary, the Santa Fe Art Institute, the Lower Manhattan Cultural Center, the Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, the Dallas Museum of Art, and The University of Texas at Austin. She received an MFA in Sculpture from The Milton Avery Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College, Annandale-On-Hudson, NY, in 2006.
